Iowa Seed Company Loses Licenses

The Seed Company, Inc., of Lynnville, Iowa, lost their warehouse operator and grain dealer licenses for failing to meet the minimum net worth and current ratio requirement, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
 
The license revocation is effective as of today, April 24. The Seed Company, Inc., contacted the Department and consented to the voluntary revocation of their grain dealer license and waived their right to an administrative hearing.
 
If You’re Affected
Anyone with a grain claim against The Seed Company, Inc., must contact the company and the Grain Warehouse Bureau in writing within 120 days of the revocations (August 24, 2009).
