MEANWHILE,THE PRIVATE WEATHER FIRM "WEATHERBUG SAYS FARMERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR A RE-RUN OF LAST YEARS SUMMER WEATHER.

TORNADO ALLEY:

AN AREA OF THE COUNTRY KNOWN AS TORNADO ALLEY COULD SEE FEWER TORNADOES THIS STORM SEASON. BUT STATES EAST OF THERE COULD SEE MORE THAN AVERAGE. THAT'S THE FORECAST FROM UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI CLIMATOLOGIST TONY LUPO.

CROP WATCH:

LATER TODAY, THE CLIMATOLOGISTS AT COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY WILL RELEASE THEIR ANNUAL HURRICANE OUTLOOK. THIS TIME EACH YEAR, THEY PUT OUT A FORECAST FOR THE NUMBER OF NAMED TROPICAL STORMS IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. BUT RIGHT NOW, IT SEEMS HURRICANE SEASON IS WAY OFF AS WE STRUGGLE WITH THIS CURRENT COLD BLAST.
