GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. MOST OF THE NATION'S CORN BELT IS DROUGHT FREE, BUT NOW THE CHILE BELT IS IN DEEP TROUBLE.

TEXAS DROUGHT CATTLE:

TEXAS IS PROUD TO HAVE THE LARGEST CATTLE HERD IN THE NATION, BUT WITH THE CURRENT LACK OF RAIN, CATTLE NUMBERS ARE SHRINKING. ED WOLFF WITH THE TEXAS FARM BUREAU VISITS ONE SOUTH TEXAS RANCHER DETERMINED TO WEATHER THE DUSTRY DROUGHT.

OKLAHOMA STATE SLAUGHTER:

OKLAHOMA STATE LIVESTOCK MARKETING SPECIALIST DERRELL PEEL SAYS REBUILDING THE HERD IS STILL ON HOLD. USDA NUMBERS SHOW BEEF COW SLAUGHTER OVER THE LAST 4 TO 5 WEEKS IS UP ABOUT 11% OVER LAST YEAR.

CROP WATCH:

IT'S A BATTLE BETWEEN DROUGHT AND DRY IN SOME AREAS AND TOO MUCH MOISTURE IN OTHERS. MIKE HOFFMAN HAS A LOOK AT HOW FARMERS ARE COPING IN THIS MORNING'S CROP WATCH.
