Last year at this time, around 70% of the U.S. corn crop was rated good or excellent. This year, a mere 40% earns those rankings. As of this week, 13% is rated very poor, 18% poor, 30% fair, 34% good and 6% excellent.
Soybean conditions also declined this week. Last week, 45% was rated good or excellent. This week, those ratings fall to 40%.
