Extreme Weather Can Help Define Management Zones

If you’re frustrated by poor 2013 crop yields you can still take away some valuable information from the field, says Missy Bauer, Farm Journal associate field agronomist.

She says the data you collect from yield maps can be used to better define the management zones within your fields. Information from those zones can then be used to determine over time how well they respond to seeding rates, fertilizer use and other agronomic factors.
