August 15, 2011
By: Margy Eckelkamp, Farm Journal Machinery Editor and Test Plot Director

With a $100 million investment, the Massey Ferguson 9500 Series Axial Combine is introduced as the company’s new global harvesting platform.

This series is powered by 8.4 Liter and 9.8 Liter AGCO Power engines with SCR systems and includes three models ranging from 313 rated hp, 370 rated hp and 460 rated hp. The combines are outfitted with the new Trident processor featuring a segmented rotor design measuring 144” long and 35” diameter.

The new V-Cool system moves away from the stacked cooling design to arrange the automated system in a v-shape on top of the machine.

Grain tank capacity is 350 bu. and an optional 24” unloading auger provides a 4-bu. per second unload rate.
