There are many national and state programs that have resources to help farmers reduce their energy footprint. Here are a few resources for more information:

National Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) Energy Estimators for animal housing, irrigation, nitrogen and tillage.
 
USDA-Rural Development’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)
 
Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) provides a list of the energy efficiency programs that are available in each state.
