Follow Friday - Crystal Young

Feb 25, 2011

It’s Friday and snow covered one in this part of the world. Today we are going to learn about a young lady who not only is a farm blogger, a social media guru and a cattle girl, but a lover of all things turquoise as well!

Crystal Young writes a blog called Crystal Cattle. She writes about everything from cattle production to hot topics in agriculture and my favorite series of posts… Turquoise Thursday!
Crystal grew up in Alberta, Canada on Simmental cattle farm. She learned at a young age that diligence and hard work are rewarded and those two characteristics have helped her develop her blog following and are the contributing factors to her success.
Crystal was a finalist in the 2010 “Best of the Barns” award competition for contributions and support of the cattle industry. Crystal not only promotes the beef industry on her blog and through social media but she works for the Angus Association as the Assistant Director of Public Relations.
My favorite part of Crystal’s blog is Turquoise Thursday. As a turquoise lover myself, I love to see what she finds. There is just something awesome about seeing new turquoise stuff each Thursday. Certainly no better way to get through the longest day of the week!
Thank you Crystal for all you do to as an advocate of the agriculture industry!
I encourage you to check out Crystal’s Blog “Crystal Cattle”, join her Facebook Page and to follow her on Twitter.
