An auction that totals 13,468 acres across Illinois, the Delta, Texas and Colorado, is being prepared by Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company in a series of upcoming auctions this October, according to R.D. Schrader, president.

"These farms make up a substantial, diversified portfolio of productive farmland, and it is very rare to be able to obtain this much land all at once," Schrader says. "With irrigated cropland in Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Colorado, as well as two farms in Illinois, these properties provide a good mix of soil types, weather systems and crops."

The tentative auction schedule is as follows:

• Oct. 20 – 236 acres in Warren County, Ill., and 419 acres in Sangamon County, Ill.
• Oct. 22 – 1,287 acres in Chicot County, Ark., 1,152 acres in Catahoula Parish, La., and 2,357 acres in Sunflower County, Miss.
• Oct. 24 – 4,158 acres in Hartley County, Texas, and 1,896 acres in Sherman County, Texas
• Oct. 25 – 1,963 acres in Phillips County, Colo.

The property seller will consider contingency-free offers made to purchase the portfolio in its entirety by Aug. 20. Schrader is working in cooperation with Paul A. Lynn & Associates LLC (Texas/Louisiana), The Lund Company (Colorado) and Walker Auctions (Mississippi).
