BASF supports aerial applicators and NAAA

BASF is proud to announce its platinum-level support of the Dec. 7-10 National Agricultural Aviation Association's (NAAA) 43rd Annual Convention and Exposition in Reno, Nevada.

As part of the sponsorship, BASF is sponsoring the kickoff breakfast and shuttle service for the convention, which is the premiere annual event for aerial applicators.

"Customer support is important to BASF and we certainly want to make sure our involvement with NAAA reflects this,” said Jim Gaffney, Ph.D., BASF Technical Market Manager.

In addition to its NAAA sponsorship, BASF offers resources, services and technologies that bring value to the aerial applicator industry. BASF Crop Protection recently launched an Aerial Applicators section of its Web site - www.plant-health-pilots.com - with content dedicated to those who apply crop protection products from the air.

The new aerial applicator section of the BASF Web site contains information about upcoming Operation S.A.F.E. (Self-Regulating Application and Flight Efficiency) fly-in workshops, a program supported by BASF that helps pilots make safe and accurate applications. The Web site also contains links to other helpful Web site resources with useful tools and information, such as Hemisphere GPS Interfaces with Google™ Earth mapping service.

BASF also is an active sponsor of the Professional Aerial Applicators Support System (PAASS), a program that educates pilots on key safety and drift minimization issues important to flying, modern agriculture and crop protection.

In addition to sponsoring industry-leading programs and providing useful resources and information, BASF fungicide product offerings are effective, reliable and economical for aerial application. Headline® fungicide for corn, soybeans and wheat, Headline AMP™ fungicide for corn, TwinLine™ fungicide and Caramba™ fungicide for cereals, are all BASF products applicators can aerially apply to help ensure a quality crop for their customers. BASF also works hard to obtain aerial labels on many of its new products to offer a wide range of solutions to aerial applicators.

"BASF is doing a lot to help ensure aerial applicators continue to expand their business so the industry can remain healthy well into the future,” Gaffney said.
