According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), 2010 U.S. ag equipment sales rose above the data from 2009. In its December Flash Report, AEM details the following:
Two-wheel-drive tractor sales were 20.6% above the same month’s numbers in 2009, and rose 5.6% for the whole year.
Four-wheel-drive tractor sales were 40.1% above the same month’s numbers in 2009, and rose 28.3% year-to-year.
All farm tractor sales were up 21.4% comparing December 2010 to December 2009, and up 6.3% for the entire year.
Combine sales finished the year strong, increasing 37.4% in December 2010 compared with December 2009. And for the entire year, combine sales rose 10.3%.
