Variability continued to be the theme as scouts entered the final stretch of the Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour. In the eastern leg of the Tour, heat and drought have stressed crops and pushed corn to early maturity in Illinois, while in the western leg, crops were disappointing in southwestern Iowa but seemed to fare better as the scouts moved north.
