USDA REPORTS:

GOOD MORNING I'M TRICIA SLOMA IN FOR CLINTON GRIFFITHS. WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE NOT A BIG FACTOR RIGHT NOW IN THE MARKETS, WHICH PUTS ADDITIONAL ATTENTION ON TWO KEY GOVERNMENT REPORTS.

PROSPECTIVE PLANTINGS:

DESPITE THE ANTICIPATION, THERE WERE VERY FEW SURPRISES MONDAY IN THE PROSPECTIVE PLANTINGS AND GRAIN STOCKS REPORTS. THE GOVERNMENT DATA WAS SIMILAR TO MOST PRE-MARKET EXPECTATIONS.

GRAINS:

'NASS' ALSO RELEASED THE QUARTERLY GRAIN STOCKS. THE REPORTS SHOWS STORED-SOYBEANS AT 992 MILLION BUSHELS, DOWN 1 PERCENT FROM A YEAR AGO. CORN STOCKS TOTALED SEVEN BILLION BUSHELS, UP 30 PERCENT FROM THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR. ALL WHEAT SITS AT JUST OVER A BILLION BUSHELS.

CME:

CLINTON GRIFFITHS WAS AT THE CME WHEN THE REPORTS CAME-OUT. AND THE RESPONSE SEEMED TO BE - WELL - HO HUM.
