TODAY ON AGDAY

APRIL 24, 2013

FLOODING PICTURES:

GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. SPRING WEATHER IS TESTING THE RESOLVE OF THE NATION'S FAMERS THIS WEEK. FROM FLOODING, TO SNOW TO HIGH WINDS AND DUST STORMS PRODUCERS ARE FACING IT ALL.

PLANTING TOUR:

CROP WATCH:

IN THE NORTHERN TIER OF THE COUNTRY IT'S NOT FLOODING, BUT LINGERING SNOW THAT'S THE PROBLEM. CHUCK HEAVER FROM AGDAY AFFILIATE WNDU-TV IN SOUTH BEND, INDIANA JOINS US NOW WITH CROPWATCH. GOOD MORNING CHUCK.

BAUCUS RETIRE:

VETERAN LAWMAKER MAX BAUCUS OF MONTANA APPEARS SET TO RETIRE. THERE'S NO OFFICIAL WORD YET, BUT THERE ARE REPORTS THAT THE SIX TERM SENATOR FROM MONTANA WILL NOT SEEK A SEVENTH. THE 72-YEAR-OLD DEMOCRAT IS CHAIRMAN OF THE SENATE FINANCE COMMITTEE. BAUCUS IS THE SEVENTH SENATOR TO ANNOUNCE HIS RETIREMENT. TWO REPUBLICANS AND FOUR DEMOCRATS HAVE ALREADY ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEEK ANOTHER TERM.
