CALIFORNIA DROUGHT:

GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. FARMERS IN CALIFORNIA ARE TAKING SOME BIG FINANCIAL HITS... AS THEY DESPERATELY WAIT AND HOPE FOR RAIN WHICH APPEARS TO BE NO WHERE IN SIGHT.

CROPWATCH:

ANOTHER COLD BLAST IS HEADING TOWARDS THE NATION'S MIDSECTION. BUT THE REAL PROBLEM FOR WHEAT GROWERS IN THE GREAT PLAINS IS LACK OF MOISTURE. AND WINDS AREN'T HELPING. MIKE HOFFMAN HAS THE DETAILS IN CROPWATCH.

EXPLOSION:

A STILL-UNFOLDING STORY IN OMAHA. FIREFIGHTERS HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY SEARCHING AN ANIMAL FEED PROCESSING PLANT IN NEBRASKA AFTER AN EXPLOSION MONDAY CAUSED A PARTIAL COLLAPSE. IT TOOK PLACE AT THE INTERNATIONAL NUTRITION PLANT. NEARLY 40 PEOPLE WORK THERE. TEN PEOPLE WERE INITIALLY SENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR INJURIES. THE OMAHA FIRE CHIEF SAID THE SEARCH IS DELICATE BECAUSE OF THE RISK OF MORE DEBRIS FALLING ON ANYONE INSIDE.

FARM BILL:

SOMETIME NEXT WEEK, WE COULD KNOW MORE ABOUT THE LATEST NEW FARM BILL COMPROMISE REGARDING DAIRY POLICY. AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT PROFARMER WASHINGTON INSIDE JIM WEISMEYER IS HEARING. HE TOLD OUR PARTNERS OVER AT AGRITALK THAT AN ANNOUCMENT IS LIKELY WHEN CONGRESS RETURNS NEXT MONDAY.
