DOW EARNINGS:
CLINTON…IT'S BETTER NEWS FOR DOW CHEMICAL, WHICH ALSO RELEASED ITS SECOND QUARTER EARNINGS WEDNESDAY. IT SHOWED SALES WERE UP 3 PERCENT FOR ITS AGRICULTURE DIVISION. WHILE THE COMPANY MAY BE BEATING EXPECTATIONS, OVERALL PROFITS ARE STILL SHARPLY LOWER FROM A YEAR AGO, DROPPING FROM 2 POINT 43 BILLION DOLLARS TO 967 MILLION DOLLARS.
HUNT AUGUST CROP REPORT:
