GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. THE LATEST USDA SUPPLY DEMAND REPORT SHOWS EXPORTS FALLING FOR MAJOR GRAINS.
THAT HAS MARKETS TAKING NOTICE.

WET WEATHER:

ALL EYES ARE NOW TURNING PLANTING SEASON. IT'S NOT THE OFFICIAL START OF SPRING BUT SPRING PLANTING IS ALREADY UNDERWAY DOWN SOUTH. IN LOUISIANA MANY FARMERS ARE READY TO GET STARTED BUT HEAVY RAINS THROUGHOUT THE WINTER ARE DELAYING FIELD WORK. LSU AGCENTER'S TOBIE BLANCHARD REPORTS.

CROP WATCH:

CROP INSURANCE PAYMENTS:

IT MAY BE AREAS WET WEATHER NOW, BUT WIDESPREAD DROUGHT IS THE HEADLINE FROM 2012.

CROP INSURANCE CUTS:

ALSO ALONG THAT FRONT TWO BILLS WERE INTRODUCED TO CONGRESS THAT WOULD CUT BILLIONS FROM CROP INSURANCE. SENATOR JEFF FLAKE OF ARIZONA AND REP JOHN DUNCAN IN TENNESSEE ARE PROPOSING CUTTING THE SUBSIDY BACK TO 38 PERCENT SAVING ABOUT 40 BILLION DOLLARS OVER THE NEXT 10 YEARS. SECRETARY VILSACK WAS ASKED AT COMMODITY CLASSIC IF HE THOUGHT CROP INSURANCE WAS TOO GOOD?
