GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. The U-S CRACKS DOWN ON THE THEFT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AS THE LONG-ARM OF THE LAW STRETCHES TO CHINA.

SEED CASE:

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY THEFT HAS ALSO ENTERED INTO THE AGRICULTURAL ARENA.
AS WE FIRST REPORTED THIS PAST WINTER SIX CHINESE NATIONALS WERE INDICTED BY A FEDERAL COURT IN IOWA FOR ALLEGED THEFT OF SEED TECHNOLOGY.

CROP PROGRESS:

THE PLANTING FRENZY WE WITNESSED TWO WEEKS AGO SEEMED TO SLOW-UP A BIT THIS PAST WEEK.  HERE'S WHAT USDA IS SEEING IN THE WEEKLY CROP PROGRESS REPORT.
