MEANWHILE, THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN CONTINUES IMPACT MAJOR REPORTS FOR THE DAIRY INDUSTRY. FROM MILK PRICES TO PRODUCTION REPORTS THE INDUSTRY CONTINUES TO OPERATE WITHOUT. HOWEVER, THE USDA DID PUT IT'S WEBSITE BACK ONLINE LATE FRIDAY. ALTHOUGH IT HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED SINCE THE SHUTDOWN BEGAN.

MASTITIS TEST:

IT ALLOWS FOR EARLY DETECTION OF SUBCLINICAL MASTITIS OR IT ALERTS FARMERS OF INFECTIONS IN DAIRY COWS LONG BEFORE THEY EVEN HAVE SYMPTOMS. THE COMPANY SAYS THE EARLY STAGES OF MASTITIS CAN GO UNDETECTED WHILE REDUCING PRODUCTION, HURTING MILK QUALITY AND REDUCING ANIMAL HEALTH. THE MAKERS OF THE TEST SAY IT CAN GIVE RESULTS IN ABOUT 3 MINUTES.
