CATTLE ON FEED:

POSSIBLE SIGNALS OF HERD REBUILDING AND RENTENTION COULD COME OUT OF THE USDA TODAY. .AND THAT'S OUR TOP STORY ON AGDAY.

BEEF TODAY:

USDA WILL RELEASE ITS OCTOBER CATTLE ON FEED REPORT. THE REPORT WAS POSTPONED DUE TO THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN. EXPECTATIONS ARE HIGH, AS IMPROVED FEED CONDITIONS AND PRICES COULD MEAN LESS CATTLE ON FEED.

FARM BILL:

THE CONFERENCE COMMITTEE BEGAN TALKS ON THE FARM BILL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.
PRIOR TO THIS, THE FARM BILL HADN'T BEEN ON THE WASHINGTON BOOKS SINCE JULY WHEN THE HOUSE PASSED ITS VERSION OF THE BILL. THE HOUSE AND SENATE VERSIONS LOOK VERY DIFFERENT, WITH THE BIGGEST DISCREPENCY BEING THE SNAP PORTION OF THE BILL.
WE'LL CONTINUE TO BRING YOU COVERAGE AS THE LEGISLATION PROGRESSES THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR.

ARKANSAS BEANS:

AFTER SEVERAL YEARS OF COMING CLOSE, EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER FOR THREE ARKANSAS SOYBEAN FARMERS TO ECLIPSE 100 BUSHELS PER ACRE IN THE 'RACE FOR 100 YIELD CONTEST." IT'S SPONSORED BY THE STATE'S SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION AND SOYBEAN PROMOTION BOARD. KEN MOORE HAS DETAILS ON THE TRIPLE DIGIT RESULTS.
