The Australian Bureau of Meteorology says neutral ENSO conditions continue, but weather models suggest Pacific Ocean conditions will continue to warm over the next six months. No climate models favor a return to La Nina, though.
"Five of the seven models surveyed are suggesting an increased risk of warm (i.e., El Nino) conditions developing before the end of (the Southern Hemisphere) spring 2012," it states.
