Check Out AgWeb’s New Markets Center

April 7, 2011

Recently, AgWeb expanded its market quote offerings. AgWeb’s Market Center is a suite of information on all commodities. It provides a clear view of what the markets are doing, tracks the activity of individual contracts and compares how those contracts stack up against other contracts.

The main page presents all of the key commodities in the agricultural, energy and financial markets for easy navigation. This page shows the prices of each commodity in the five nearest contracts for grains, soft commodities, livestock and energies.
From there, you can find links to full listings of all contracts for each commodity. These lists include bid and ask prices (10-minute delay), daily volume and open interest numbers. Links are also available to technical charts and information, as well as to a full listing of options prices for each commodity contract.
A unique benefit of the Markets Center is the “spread matrix” format. This allows you to easily track spreads between two contracts and compare those spreads to other contracts in the same commodity listing.
