Combine Sales Up Nearly 27% in 2013, Data Show

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has released its monthly sales report for the U.S. (for the full report, click here)

Total unit sales are about 2,000 units above the five-year average.

For the month of August 2013, total two-wheel drive tractor sales were up roughly 14% compared with data from 2012. Four-wheel-drive tractor sales were more than 13% above those in 2012, while combine sales fell by nearly 7%.

A year-to-date comparison shows total farm tractor sales are up about 13% and combine sales are up close to 27%.
