Deere's new utility tractor is designed for the residential and small acreage markets.

John Deere rolled out its new subcompact tractors at the 2011 National Farm Machinery Show. There are two model numbers in the 1 Series Subcompact Utility tractor line: the 1023E and 1026R.

Kevin Branstetter, product marketing manager at John Deere, says the tractors are designed for homeowners and feature ease of use and easy connections of implements and attachments. The iMatch s AutoHitch system is a 3-point hitch compatible system that allows the user to attach implements without leaving the seat.

"The 1 Series offers a wide array of features usually see on larger tractors like a deluxe lighting package, position control 3-point hitch and greater storage for tools," says John Deere Product Marketing Manager Dan Paschke.

The AutoConnect system allows the driver to attach front-mounted attachments like loaders and mower decks, similar to the attachment system on larger-horsepower Deere tractors.
