Final Rule Issued on Dairy Forward Pricing Program

USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service published its final rule today in the Federal Register on continuation of the Dairy Forward Pricing Program.

The final rule, as prescribed in the 2014 farm bill, allows dairy farmers and processors to enter into forward pricing programs for Class II, III and IV milk through September 30, 2018. The contracts themselves can extend until September 30, 2021.
