FMC Agricultural Products Group has been busy in the digital space this past year, whether it’s providing basic product information, delivering educational opportunities, promoting scholarships for agricultural students or even developing mobile apps.
The company announced at the 2013 National Farm Machinery Show four new and continuing online initiatives.
1. FMC announced it is extending its CropPro University Training Module through March 8, 2013. Participants are able to complete a training module for CEU credits.
2. The company also announced its Authority Minute web video series. Paul Redhage, strategic communications manager, says he hopes the videos will provide a "full compass" seasonal approach to weed issues. The first 6 videos are available online, with the intention of producing 18 total videos for the project.
3. A "Stand and Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest" will enter its second year starting March 1. This program awards scholarship opportunities to four agriculture high school students who upload videos of themselves singing the National Anthem. Entrants need to be members of their local FFA, 4-H or student NAMA chapter.
4. In coordination with Ag PhD, FMC developed the Ag PhD Field Guide, a free mobile app available for free on the Apple App Store. The app is expected to be available on Android devices later this year.
