Farm Journal Foundation News Release

Farm Journal Foundation's Farmers Feeding the World initiative announced today that GROWMARK has entered into a multiyear agreement to support the initiative.

As a supporter of Farmers Feeding the World, GROWMARK joins other organizations, companies and hundreds of farmers and ranchers across the U.S. in rallying American agriculture in the war to end hunger.

"GROWMARK and its FS member cooperatives are deeply committed to feeding the ever-growing world population. We support that goal through a sound scientific approach to improving yields and through investments in organizations like Farmers Feeding the World, which efficiently and effectively battle hunger across the globe. We are thrilled to support this program," said Ann Kafer, GROWMARK director of corporate communications and marketing services.

The multiyear agreement between GROWMARK and Farmers Feeding the World will provide funding to support programs, such as the initiative's traveling educational exhibit that is slated to embark on a 2012 College Tour. Each campus stop will also include a "Food Forum," where students and industry experts can engage in meaningful conversations about the future of food and agriculture.

"We are terribly excited about this new partnership with GROWMARK," said Charlene Finck, president of the Farm Journal Foundation. "It is collaboration with industry leaders like GROWMARK that will enable Farmers Feeding the World to make a difference in both fighting hunger and fighting the misconceptions about modern-day agriculture."
