How Do I Know What Rate of Nitrogen to Use?

It’s a straight-forward question but it can’t be met with a one-way answer. Missy Bauer says that every farmer needs to evaluate their own nitrogen program.

“Do plots on your own farm. Run different rates of N. For example at sidedress, run 20 to 30 units higher and 20 to 30 units lower than your regular rate,” Bauer says.
