Illinois Corn Crop Faces High Temperatures This Week

The weather forecast for central Illinois this week indicates temperatures will be hot and then even hotter, hovering between the low 90s to mid 90s between today and Friday. Unfortunately, the sweltering heat is striking the area just as field corn is trying to pollinate, says Ken Ferrie, Farm Journal Field Agronomist.

In the following video, Ferrie provides some potential scenarios for farmers to watch for and evaluate as the week unfolds.
