Irrigation Sensor Solution

An irrigation system developed by the Swiss start-up PlantCare recommends water prescriptions using wireless sensors. The soil-moisture sensors continuously report moisture levels to a central computer, which makes the recommendations based on how much water can be absorbed by plants under irri­gation. While the company primarily serves fruit and vegetable growers, the technology can be used across a range of applications. Reports are reliable at soil depths as shallow as 2". The PlantControl D wireless data logger monitors up to 99 wireless sensors with a top range of more than 18.5 miles using an optional Range Exten­der. Up to 100,000 records can be stored.
