Hydraulic and air brakes are common across Europe. Typically, farmers haul all of their crop with a tractor and trailer combination from the field and over the road. This has led to tractors and trailers being outfitted with advanced braking systems, and Krone has introduced a new braking systems inspired by railway systems.
The Electronic Braking System (EBS) with Roll Stability System (RSS) has been awarded a silver medal for innovation at Agritechnica 2011. The system can proactively stabilize the tractor and trailer by selectively braking individual wheels.
