You’ll notice a new face and name in this issue of Farm Journal as we kick off our new Tax Corner column, written by Darrell Dunteman. The well-known agricultural accountant and consultant is not a complete stranger. He has served farmers as an accountant for 38 years and previously wrote a column for Farm Progress since 1982.

As an Illinois farm boy, Darrell grew up on a diversified family farm near Effingham that had beef cattle and row crops in addition to a dairy. Today, based in Bushnell, Ill., he runs a high-touch, dirty boots consulting firm where he’s proud to work with farmer clients—some as long as 30 years.

We’re delighted to fold Darrell—and his tax expertise—into our Farm Journal team. He fits right in. If you have tax questions you’d like Darrell to answer in future Tax Corner columns, shoot him an e-mail at ddunteman@farmjournal.com.
