A power conversion system boosts a dryer's capabilities.

To provide greater capabilities to grain dryer sites with only single-phase power, Sukup Manufacturing offers the Single-Phase Centrifugal Dryer. The dryer has a converter that changes single-phase power into three-phase power. The new conversion system, available on 16' dryers, provides greater, even-flowing AC power, enabling faster dry times with bigger equipment.

This power conversion system allows the use of bigger motors than could previously be used with single-phase power. It enables the use of larger fan motors (20 hp and potentially up to 50 hp) to be used. Larger equipment can be more energy efficient and decrease drying times. Previously, dryers at sites with only single-phase power were limited to 15 hp motors unless an external phase converter could be brought in.

The list price range for the 16' Single-Phase Centrifugal Dryer is $87,750 to $99,200—not including any additional options or accessories. For more information, visit
