At Corn College attendees learn what to look for when selecting nozzles and setting up sprayers.
Many components must come together to make the correct pesticide application. Brad Beutke, Crop-Tech Consulting, explains how critical rates, nozzle selection and pressure boom heights play in.
During Beutke’s session at the Illinois Corn College, attendees saw firsthand how these components affect corn and soybeans. With the use of water-sensitive paper, they were able to measure how different types of nozzles and speeds affect pesticide coverage.
