Several ads featured Sunday night during the Super Bowl highlighted aspects of farm life–including mischievous (or cute) animals–and generated discussion on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
Among them: A spot titled "So God made a farmer" featuring a Paul Harvey voiceover. The ad, a collaboration between Ram Trucks and sister company Case IH, kicks off a campaign identifying 2013 as "The Year of the Farmer". Ram Trucks will donate money to the National FFA Organization with each viewing of the Super Bowl ad to support the organization’s hunger relief efforts.

The ad generated plenty of feedback on Twitter.
"This brought a tear to my eyes," wrote @NikeChillemi.
Others had favorable things to say about the ad, too.
"’On the eighth day, God made a farmer...’ >>That one is fascinating," wrote @ryanlove146. "Mixed reviews but I think it was brilliant by Dodge."
Not everyone agreed.
"Every time you don't buy a Dodge truck, a baby calf dies and a farmer's son goes to work for Goldman Sachs," wrote @pourmecoffee.
In another ad, a goat and its owner compete for their beloved Doritos. Watch the video below, then click to page 2 to read more about other ag-themed ad spots:
