System Connects Sugar Beets from the Field to the Processor

November 19, 2011
By: Margy Eckelkamp, Director of Content Development, Machinery Pete

Logistics during sugar beet harvest can be complicated, and to put the entire system of the sugar beet value chain in one place, Grimme introduces ISOLOG. This is an online logistics management system that tracks drilling through delivery to the processing facility. Using ISOXML software, the ISOLOG is compatible with the beet drill, beet lifter, collection/tansport teams and the sugar beet factory. The farmer can choose to share data with whomever they choose, and this can include connecting the scaled hopper of beet lifters with time, demand and cost factors.
