The Vertical Lift System (VLS) outfitted on Weidemann and Claas telehandlers provides advanced overload protection. With a driver assistance system, the telescopic arm is automatically retracted slightly before the machine is overloaded. The VLS eliminates the interruption of current overload protection systems causes and is more user friendly as it provides automatic load lowering or lifting.
The two companies were given a silver award for the innovation at Agritechnica 2011.
