Time away from the farm to work on your marketing and financial skills is never wasted time, says Jerry Gulke, President of Gulke Group. That’s why he established The Executive Program for Producers (TEPP) – a short two-day workshop designed specifically for producers who are interested in increasing their farms profitability year after year.
“Too many producers today are focused solely on the production/operations side of their business,” Gulke says. “In today’s competitive environment, a farmer who wants to stay in business long term needs to also understand the financial and marketing aspects of his business—he needs to transition from being just an operations manager to being the CEO of his entire farm business”.
At the TEPP Marketing and Financial workshops, you will be taught the skills and given the tools necessary to make that transition to CEO. You will learn how to maximize your profitably so that your farm operation will continue to prosper for generations to come.

While the program is open to any age producer, Jeff Beal of Gulke Group adds: “We’ve been impressed with the number of young producers attending these workshops. It’s encouraging to see that young farmers today are taking an interest in educating themselves to become the ag business leaders of tomorrow.”
The next TEPP Farm Marketing and Financial workshop is scheduled for March 7-9, 2011, at the Union League Club, right next to the Chicago Board of Trade. There is still time to sign up.
A summer TEPP workshop will be held June 22-23, 2011, in Chicago.
