U.S. Farm Equipment Sales July 2011 Report

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has released its data for July 2011 sales of tractors and combines in the U.S.

Overall, unit sales are down.
Two-wheel-drive tractors were down 7.6% year-to-year, and down less than a percent for year-to-date.
Four-wheel-drive tractors were up 2% year-to-year, and up 7.2% year-to-date.
Total farm tractor sales are down 7.4% year-to-year, and down less than a percent for year-to0date.
Combine sales are down 27.9% year-to-year, and down 1.2% year-to-date.
For the month, machinery sales dipped below the five year average and 2009 numbers (the lowest year in five years.)
