Weekly Export Sales Match or Fall Short of Expectations

May 9, 2013 02:52 AM

The Weekly Export Sales Report for the week ended May 2, 2013, reflected no bullish surprises as all categories came in either within or below expectations. Corn export sales fell short of expectations and posted a sharp drop from last week's tally. Wheat and soybeans export sales also declined substantially from the week prior but met expectations. Export sales of cotton and soy products slowed, as did beef exports. Pork export sales were the one category that picked up from last week, though this was a relatively light gain.
