My husband & I bought a place with 25 acres in Indiana in 2005. It was planted in corn that year, but hasn't been planted since then. We are trying to find out about government grants or other help to get the property fenced. We are wanting to get 4 or 5 feeder calves & a couple of quarter horses. Also, we are interested in information about windmills, purchase & Grants, etc. available for them. I will appreciate any help you can give me concerning these projects.

Try an EQUP grant from USDA but you will need to show that you are in livestock business
We've been farming for years and if there are any programs/grants for funding I've never heard of them.
Welcome to living on a farm acerage. The grant your looking for is a loan at your friendly banker that you get to pay back yourself.
