The results are in and we have chosen a winner. Well, actually two winners were chosen to be featured on the first round of the AgWeb Campus Tour and AgWeb Game Day.

The fans with the most school spirit in the poll voting and soliciting the most comments, goes to my very own Iowa State Cyclones. We will visit their campus November 4-6 to see them take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in their final battle as Big 12 rivals. (I won’t get into what I think about the defection of Nebraska. It’s a sore subject for this Big 12 fan.)
The week prior, October 28-30, I will travel to College Station, Texas, to witness the Texas Aggies take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas A&M had a very strong showing in the polling, and even looked like they might win it all for a short time. Alas, they did not.
But a strong effort by their faculty and an invite from their ag communications department to speak to their students brought them into the running.
So, we’re going to visit both of those schools this year and we have plans to expand the program in 2011.
The polls are now open for 2011. Vote now to give your favorite ag school a leg up on where we visit next year. And if your school isn’t listed, vote anyway. We’ll mix it up each week of the season based on geography and conference affiliation. Since it’s college football, you can root against your most-hated rival by voting for somebody else!
