Informa Calls for Next Week's Production Report

Oct 01, 2010

After USDA found an additional 300 million bu. of corn in the U.S. supply in yesterday's Stocks Report, attention is now turning to next week's Crop Production Report. The numbers in this report are not part of yesterday's report, says USDA, regardless of where it is coming from.

With a 30 cent (limit move) hit to the corn price today, the party looks like it's over for at least a little bit.

With that, Informa released it's number today, according to several sources. Their expected number from USDA next week is 160.3 bu./acre for corn. Like last month, they are also releasing what they believe the final number will actually be. That is 158.7, which is a touch higher than what they predicted last month.
