Market Outlook at Corn College Fundamentals

Join us Aug. 3 to 4 for Corn College Fundamentals in southern Michigan.
Farm Journal Economist Bob Utterback has joined the program for the Aug. 3 to 4 Corn College Fundamental session. Utterback will present a breakout session, Market Outlook, to keep attendees up-to-date with today’s commodity markets.
Led by Farm Journal Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer, the event includes general instruction, breakout sessions in the field and an expo showcasing corn production tools. The event is located near Coldwater, Mich. at the facilities of Missy Bauer.
The Farm Journal Corn College Fundamentals session provides practical, hands-on training with a special focus on in-the-field breakouts. This session will provide attendees with the core knowledge of how to use the Systems Approach on their farm.
The other general sessions and breakout sessions will include:
· Know a Good Stand When You See It
· Dig to Identify Soil Density
· In-Field Corn Diagnostics
· A Yield Map to Success
· Basics of Soil
· Identify Disease Threats
· Know Nitrogen Management in the Field
Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie will join the event via teleconference to present a general session, “Pay the Carbon Penalty.”
