Matt's primary interest is in the biotech industry and ag policy.
I have been saying for fifty years, ever since my VoAg teacher and every county agent since has said that the US produces the cheapest food in the world. It is only because of the subsides that they can say it and it is only putting part of the real cost of the food on the backs of the next generation.
obviously these people don't know what it takes to try to make a living farming....25 head is a "factory farm"...please! And tax on animals for existing. It is getting way too ridiculous anymore. PS. No one wants to live on subsides!!...there isn't a lot of choice.
We are exporting Agriculture to South America.....the big boys in Ag will follow the way of other manufacturers and go else where for cheap labor and raw materials. Unfortunately, we do not have politicians that realize what they are doing!
Thanks to terrorist like PETA and HSUS we are fighting a battle we may not win......
