KCBT Wheat Futures Surge

Feb 25, 2011

KCBT wheat futures bounced back quite nicely from the last couple of trading sessions, traders said.  Prices were near their highs of the day at midsession. French wheat futures were higher overnight, lending to the stronger tone.

Export sales numbers were good at 1.113 million metric tonnes, which was above expectations.  Purchases were made by Egypt, Turkey, Japan and Iraq in the past week.

KCBT wheat futures selling interest today was much diminished from the last two sessions, traders said.
