Quiet, Mixed Trade amidst Snow Storm

Feb 01, 2011

Kansas City wheat futures traded both sides of unchanged this morning, opening lower along with weakness overnight in the Paris wheat market, according to traders.

A weaker U.S. Dollar this morning and declining crop conditions took the market back to the plus side, traders said.

Continued concerns regarding political unrest in Egypt and possible delays in logistics of wheat imports to that country kept gains in check this morning, traders said.

Trading was quiet amidst a massive winter storm that is moving across the Midwest today.
