You Know Harvest is Slow When...
Sep 22, 2009
On a recent trip in corn-growing country it was obvious many farmers hadn't been in the field yet. I counted one harvested corn field across 600 miles, and I saw one combine harvesting soybeans.
The slow start to harvest was backed up by a conversation with the folks at Ag Leader Technology. So far, the past couple of weeks have been below the call volumes for the past three years.
Their 30-person tech support team will field as many as 4,500 calls in a week during the peak of planting and harvesting seasons. As a pioneer of yield monitor technology, Ag Leader says it places a priority on customer service to keep farmers in the field and not in the stopped in headlands and frustrated.
