Speaker Spotlight: Bill Biedermann

Bill Biedermann earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with majors in Agricultural Production, Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Education from Illinois State University, Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. Biedermann grew up on a dairy farm and from 1973 to 1988 he managed a small grain farming operation in Northern IL. In 1979, he joined Heinold Commodities in Chicago, IL. He worked as an Assistant Regional Manager and advanced to Assistant Vice President for Commercial accounts. Biedermann's primary responsibilities were to research, develop and implement hedging and risk management strategies for US food companies. He later helped develop a trading division in the Middle East.
In 1984, Biedermann co-founded Allendale, Inc., of Crystal Lake, IL,a worldwide futures trading company and agricultural research advisory firm. He is currently Senior Vice President. The firm provides research, advice and consulting to producers, major food companies, international corporations, US State Department, foreign governments, and major news vendors. Allendale Inc. publishes several research products electronically, some of which are available on the Internet, and in agricultural magazines.
Biedermann shares his expertise as a public speaker at events throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada. Bill has appeared on numerous television and radio shows and has been involved in community youth organizations.
