I'm just glad its rotting in Latimer, IO and not my town. Hopefully USDA will count it as lost and reduce stocks. Then the price of corn will come up. Good job

4430, Have you ever looked at a bag of dog food. Generally the #1 ingredients are corn or soymeal. You should try some. Maybe you did as a kid and just forgot. The black corn will probably end up on feed lots. Cattle guys will buy it for $.25 on the dollar and feed it.

You seem to have presumptions and assumptions, but no facts. There is very little, if any, corn in dog food, and, animal feeds of all kinds are tested for molds and toxins before they're mixed and fed. If you can't find out anymore gossip, maybe it's because elevator management doesn't feel it's any of your business nor do they feel obligated to tell who they trade with. My advice would be to mind your own business and quit starting and passing on rumors. And it's not rotting, but fermenting. Fermented corn when handled correctly makes excellent cattle feed, and I would surely rather smell fermented corn than a landfill or a hog confinement pit. If this is the biggest problem you ever have in Latimer, which is a fine little town, life won't be too bad.
